New compost bins finished!

The Leaders of Positive Change and JASS group of S2s and S6s have finished the new compost bins for the school. These will be used to hold gardening waste from the school grounds as well as compostable waste from Home Economics department and staff bases.

First we had to clear the area from all sorts of rubbish...

...then cut all the recycled pallets to the right size...

We had to make sure the ground was all level too...

Staff composting

We've just added a compost bin to our staff room for tea bags, banana skins etc - all fruit and vegetable waste.
The fruit and veg waste composted at school will be put back into the veggie and flower beds once its turned into nice compost.
