Energy

Currie Community High School won the Ashden Award in 2009 for our work on energy.  Staff and pupils have been working together to reduce the carbon footprint of the school - helping to reduce climate change and the school's fuel bills at the same time.

Our wind turbine generates
electricity for the school

Solar thermal panels on the roof
help heat the swimming pool water


Issues to do with energy are incorporated throughout the curriculum.
